Who we are

VELLARDO LTD runs this online store for solar panels, batteries, inverters, controllers, wiring, racking and portable power. Our address is 319 Dundas Street East, Suite 1152, Toronto, Ontario M5A 2A1, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information described below.

What we collect

We collect only what you give us or what is needed to run the site:

• Name, phone number and, if you provide it, email address, when you place an order, request a service or send a message.
• Delivery address, province and postal code, and the notes you add to an order.
• The items in your cart and in your orders, and the text of your enquiries.
• Basic technical data your browser sends with every request, such as IP address and browser type, which the web server records for security.

We do not ask for payment card numbers on this site. Payment is arranged by phone after we confirm your order.

Why we use it

• To confirm, ship and support your order, including calling you about shipping, taxes and payment.
• To answer questions and requests for our services, such as a System Match or a load audit.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting a form. We do not use your details for advertising profiles and we do not sell them.

Who sees it

Our staff see your information to do their work. Couriers and freight carriers receive your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver your parcel. Service providers that host or secure the site may process data on our behalf under their own obligations. We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it.

The contacts page embeds a Google map. Loading it sends your browser request to Google, which may set its own cookies; the map loads only when the page is opened and is not used elsewhere on the site.

Cookies and scripts

The site uses a session cookie that keeps your cart together and a security cookie that protects forms. Both are needed for the shop to work. We do not load analytics, advertising or social media scripts, and the site contains no links to social networks.

How long we keep it

We keep order and enquiry records for as long as needed to fulfil and support the order and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, then delete or anonymise them. Cart contents tied to a browser session are removed when the session expires or the order is placed.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent, subject to legal and contractual limits. We answer requests within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

How we protect it

Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery and spam, access to the order data is limited to staff who need it, and the site sends security headers with every page. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information in free-text fields.
